Description
Fudgy Nutella cookies made with just five ingredients, chilled to avoid the greasy texture that 3-ingredient versions sometimes get.
Ingredients
1
cup
Nutella
1
large
egg
1
cup
all-purpose flour
(absorbs the oil in the Nutella)
1/4
tsp
baking soda
1
pinch, plus flaky salt for topping
salt
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment.
2
Whisk the Nutella and egg together until smooth and glossy.
3
Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then fold into the Nutella mixture until a soft dough forms.
4
Rest the dough at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
Do not skip; this controls spread and greasiness.
5
Portion 1.5-tablespoon balls, roll lightly, and flatten slightly with a fork.
6
Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are just set and centers still look soft.
7
Sprinkle flaky salt on top immediately after baking, if using.
8
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
